Meet the Founder
My name is Tracy Melendez, and Tiny Masterminds Learning Center was created from both my personal experience as a parent and my professional experience as an educator.
Before becoming a teacher, I was a parent in the local school district who—like many families—paid for childcare with the hope that it would fully prepare my children for elementary school. Despite that investment, my children entered school struggling with foundational skills and confidence. With time, support from dedicated teachers, and targeted interventions, they eventually began to thrive. However, that journey made it clear to me how difficult school can be for children when they do not have a strong early learning foundation. That experience changed the direction of my life.

Understanding the impact early learning has on long-term success, I made the decision to change careers and enter the field of education. I became a licensed teacher and now work as a kindergarten teacher, where I see firsthand the challenges many children face when transitioning into full-day elementary school. I also see how powerful it can be when children arrive prepared—not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well.

Tiny Masterminds Learning Center was created to give other children and families the support and resources my own children did not initially have.
I believe every child deserves access to high-quality early learning experiences, regardless of background or starting point. I also understand that families are doing their best while balancing work, home life, and their children’s needs. At Tiny Masterminds, families are met with understanding, compassion, and partnership—not judgment.

I bring my classroom experience directly into the center by intentionally focusing on social-emotional development, early literacy, problem-solving skills, and structured routines that help children feel confident and capable as learners. These skills are introduced in a nurturing, play-based environment so children can grow naturally while gaining the tools they need for success in school.

I also believe collaboration matters. Tiny Masterminds works to build relationships with local schools and educators to help align early learning with what children will experience in later grades. By working together, we can create smoother transitions and stronger outcomes for children of all ages.
Tiny Masterminds Learning Center exists to support children, empower families, and provide the foundation that helps children grow, learn, and thrive—both now and in the years ahead.
